About me

Hello, I’m Pierre Palatin. Since 2007 and still on-going as of 2025, I’m working as a Software engineer and SRE at Google Switzerland. For now many years, I have been working on the Continuous Deployment infrastructure behind most of Google production.

Beside coding many random things (a small subset of them visible at my Github), I also like to dabble in baking. And somehow I developed a Factorio mod to create zoomable versions of the maps.

A long time ago, I also did a PhD in microarchitecture in the Alchemy Group at INRIA Saclay (Computer Sciences Research Laboratory) under the direction of Olivier Temam. The topic was how exploit efficiently parallelism on multi-core processors. You can find my PhD thesis here and the corresponding presentation, both in French.
